bagging rear with no comp/tank

ok guys, hopefully i will be running into a little more $$ this summer but till then id like my rear to have a better ride. right now im runnin 2 leafs and blocks. is there anything i can do to make it ride better, i just cant afford a compressor and everyting, maybe have the bags running into a tir type valve stem and fill it up with a portable air tank, and notch the rear, a buddy said something about bags ontop of leafs?? i donno, just throw some cheap ideas out to me, like notching so thta i will have kinda a "head start"on baggin it later on. thanks -bf

notching it will definately be a good step towards bagging it. plus it will give you some extra room from bottoming out.

Using a strator valve is good to run the back on air without a compressor and tank all you need is a little electric pump that plugs into your lighter. but do a 4 link, I would suggest not running bags on your leafs.

i think he means schrader valve... but yeah bags on the axle rides pretty stiff. i'd 4link it and mount the bags on the lower link bars. the notch is an excellent way to go! just make sure you don't cut yourself short and get too small of a notch... you'd have to redo it later.

Yep, like speedster says... if you plan to lay frame in time to come, go the whole way to get the right notch, not only does it look better slammed, but (like I have to do now) twice the work to get the old one out and put the new one in...im not a happy camper
