Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Im measuring up for some new wheels, 18 x 7 (7 inch is the bead seal) and was wondering what offset I will need to tuck on 2wd sheetmetal and not rub the bedsides.

I'll need them to fit even with a BD to the rocker (who knows what the future holds).

So anyway I've come up with a +42. What does everyone else know from experience?

I found an old thread on SSM from Russ D which said +40. But the info was a little light, and Im not 100% sure.

Im just looking for someone to help me double check before I blow my cash on wheels that dont fit how I want.

Thanks For the help
Greg.

I've got the Denali rims which are 17x7.5 and have +31 offset. They only slightly rub when I'm fully layed out. So if you had a 7" rim with +30 offset they'd be 1/4" farther in the wells then mine and probably fit just fine.

Thnaks for your help.

Ive measured up, and from what others have said around a +40 should tuck in really well.

Thanks
