besides, they have piss weak internals. and you just would NOT go with the 1.8 if you were going to all that trouble. you can have close to 200hp from a kl ze/de 2.5 v6 with all the same headaches for fitment etc. then you can boost it and push out 300 odd safelyish and 400whp bending rods every month or so.

the je is a far superior engine for big power. if you dont want big power, its superior just on fitment alone. its not like weight is much of an issue in a ute anyway...
