He is and isn't right at the same time.IF they are running good and looked after then you will see long life out of a NA motor.If abused then yeah just like any motor they will crap out.

cast iron dries up? these are some of the stoutest little engines i''ve ever beat the piss out of. keep the oil and cooling good and you'll never see a problem. put a turbo on any engine and you've added an additional heat concern. i built a 12a bridgeport and shifted it at 8500 at least 10 times a day. i've had my first b('92 b2600i extra-cab and hasn't clicked 100k yet) since last summer. i wanted a b just because i want another rotary but need the utility of a truck. i want to put a bridgeported 13b with a gene berg carb or efi on it.
