84 B2000 Engine

Alright. I just bought a 1984 B2000 with 74000km, 5 speed short box for $400. Immaculate shape, but the engine will not fire off #3 or #4. I'm going to check the common things (plugs, wires, compression, cap & rotor, etc) but should by some fluke chance the engine is completely toast, I was wondering: Does the F2 or FE engine have the same bolt pattern as the MA? I want to know because it's easy to get the F series engines, but I own the only 84 B2000 that I know of in this city, so it's next to impossible to find one of these close by. Any insight from other members will be greatly appreciated.
