Those cables have to go thru thr firewall at the correct angle and into the cable housing in back of the speedo with out being forced,Wrong angle,force on the housing=snapped cable.I pulled that cable out of the housing checked it and lubed it before I sent it to u.It did not show any signs of excessive wear or fraying.Beats me.BJ

I'm not saying that you sent me a broken one I am just trying to figure out why they keep breaking. and do you have another one?

my pickup does the same high revving deal when you pull it out of gear. if you pull the gas pedal out it comes back down. mines carburated.(SP)

does it idle at 1500 constantly or does it fluctuate? like 1500 down to normal and then back up.

when you sit there for awhile it will steadily climb to 2,000 until you pull the gas pedal backwards.

replace the return spring on ur carb.BJ

yes thats right it has a tack now and didn't before where do I reroute it to

Ok so here's my new problem my truck wants to rev even higher now it will climb to 3000 rpms so I unplugged my tps and now it idels at 1500 so I thought replace the tps. that didn't work so what else can I do?
