Are you engaging the choke in the first place? If not, thats what you need to do... If you do and it does'nt engage, you need to tighten up the choke coil so the butterflies will close more and the choke will be on the cam lobe...

There is 3 screws at the choke. The choke wire is hooked up on the cover. Those three screws on it need to be loosened up. Turn the white cover piece clockwise to tighten it or counter-clockwise to loosen it...

You want like a 1/16th of an inch gap between the top of the 'flies and venturi wall..

If it opens up too soon, just tighten up the coil a bit... I don't think thats your problem as to why its doing what it is doing, though...

Hey todd, thanks for the comment man! Everything on that truck bodywise was pretty much done, except the bed. It was rusted on the inside still and the side with the patch paneling needed more work. My teacher wanted the truck outta the shop once I sold it to the kid. So he took ALOT of body filler and slapped it on there, lol! I laughed... It was like an inch thick, haha!

But yea, I did ALOT of work on it... Great experience, though...
