Mechanical Fuel Pump

Do they make a noise sometimes when they are going out? Like if the arm that rests on the cam is getting worn and loose?

anybody? I adjusted my valve lash and have no more tick. sometimes I get a low idle and when cruising at highway speed sometimes it cuts out for a sec.

Man, sorry that no one has posted up to help you! I myself have'nt experienced this. I don't believe it should make any noise at all, even if its going out. I think its something else?

When mech. fuel pumps go out, you can tell by the safeguard they put in it. They've got a hole in it so it will leak gas when the diaphragm goes out.

cool thanks, it does kinda look like its leaking but not a major leak. I have a new one just have to put it in.

Fuel pump won't even take you 30 min. to replace! If the noise does'nt stop there, then post back up. We may be able to help you more!
