go to the site and follow the instructions on making sure the timing is set right on the timing belt itself you may have to pull the timing belt to do this, once the #1 cyl is at tdc, make sure the crank pulley/balancer is on right (with timing deg at top when # 1 cyl is tdc)line up the cam sprocket (may have to pull valve cover to make sure it is on intake stroke) and put the timing belt back on, and make sure that the rotor button is under the # 1 plug wire....... it is explained alot better on that site....if it runs even rough this should fix it.

CHECK INTO GETTING A CHILTON'S OR HAYNES MANUAL, THEY ARE REALLY HELPFUL AND ONLY @$20 OR SO. YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE THE FAN ASSEMBLY & SHROUD, BEHIND THAT THERE IS A BLACK COVER, IT IS TWO PIECE, REMOVE IT, THERE WILL BE THE TIMING BELT, YOU WILL HAVE TO LOOSEN THE TENSIONER PULLEY AND IT SHOULD COME RIGHT OFF. NOTE IF YOU REMOVE THE CRANK / BALANCE PULLEY THE BOLTS ARE VERY EASILY STRIPPED OUT, AND DOESN'T TAKE MUCH TO DO SO WHEN REPLACING IT. (AS I DID THIS VERY THING WHEN REPLACING MY TIMING BELT YEARS AGO ) NOW SINCE MY MOTORS IN THE SHOP GETTING REBUILT, THEY ARE GOING TO HAVE TO DRILL OUT HE OLD SCREWS AND RE TAP THE HOLES....

DON'T WORRY BOUT THE ?, JUST GLAD TO HELP A FELLOW MAZDA OWNER OUT!!
