Hey guys..
F2 headstuds...
Are they reusable, or have to be replaced with an engine build?
I've heard some say yes and others no..

I would only used it at most twice if the hex heads are not rounded and threaded ends in good shape.
Chase the block threads and lube the bolt threads and hex head surface with assembly lube for accurate torque values.

NOT TRYING TO BE AN A**, BUT WOULD YOU PUT BURN OIL IN A NEW ENGINE........ THE HEAD BOLTS STRETCH THROUGH OUT ALL THE HEAT CYCLES AND WILL NOT OFFER YOU THE SAME HOLDING STRENGTH AS NEW ONES WHICH WILL LEAD TO COMPRESSION LOSS.

That's my thought process on the studs, which is why I am afraid to reuse them. My Honda was the same way, but I replaced them with ARP studs which are able to be reused.

ok so stop being one

My Grandpa worked on trucks and that was his rule of thumb as well and bolts and oil are nothing alike. everytime i use one the over i add about 2 pounds of tourqe extra

These stock motors are weak!
I would use them 3 times with no problems.
Have done it a couple of times on stock motors with no problems.

Now if you are modding the engine, that is a different ballgame.

I wouldn't reuse them its not worth having to tear everything back down. Spend a couple bucks and get new hardwear...
