you could use one of these, the stock ecu, and do away with the dizzy and use a crank angle sensor, or cam sensor to trigger the spark.

a stand alone will replace the whole ecu, not just upgrade the ignition, and controls / monitors many different aspects of the engines operation. triggering the spark is either done with a crank sensor, cam sensor, or a distributor with either points type or electronic (photo eye) to get the spark from the coil to the plug.
