anyone lowered there motor down??

I want to lower my motor down so i can run a regular hood.. I think having the engine under the hood being doored would be nice and clean. Not exactly sure on what all to do.... I know i have to redo the motor mounts, but do you have to do the tranny crossmember or anything else? Thanks in advance

yea you move motor you move tranny xmember

you may have to mod your oil pan, because of the front crossmember

but yes that would be clean

I notched my crossmember and dropped the engine mounts. You are probably good for 1 or 1-1/2" this way before you need to touch the oil pan.
