Avatars, anyone make them?

I want an avatar. But can't get right size. Any help appreciated.

I just used a photo that I canned, then I used free downloaded resizing software to get the photo within board requirements, trial and error making it smaller, until the board software accepted the photo.

Thanks Cusser, i'll look it up maybe have an app for that for my phone.

I used a desktop computer. My phone can only make calls (TracFone).
