Mikey got a new Mazda!

Not exactly the Mazda you'd expect me to get.


Nope, not another B series. Not an MX6. Not a 626 or 323....

Finally went out and got myself a real vehicle. I just purchased a fine example of a 2005 Mazda 3 GS Sport wagon for $11800, with just over 70k miles on it.

It's titamium metallic on black cloth with blue inserts, 2.3L 5 speed, power everything, 17" alloys and everything except sunroof,leather and nav, which comes on the GT.

I sold my Jetta lastnight for a measly $1000 to make a down payment on the Mazda and get myself into a nice, reliablepractical but still fun and sporty vehicle...and of course I had to stay true to my Mazda roots!

I pick it up tomorrow after work and I'm more than happy to finally have a vehicle that isn't going to break down on me, blow up, fall apart or have all my money spent on it modding it...though some mods will be likely, but I can't break the bank.

Anyways, since I don't have a pic of the one I have, here is one that is absolutely identical, colour, wheels and all.

Very nice upgrade Mikey those are nice and can be fast too! I drive a Corolla daily myself. You're going to love the gas mileage too.

Nice.. one of the guys i work with has one. and just so you know you can take the emblems and side moldings off there are no holes behind them.

ha sweet. I plan to do minimal mods, mostly just minor cosmetic stuff. Can't really afford to play around with it, and didn't buy it for the intent to turn it into a money pit project.

Well, I brought her home. Lighting is terrible around 6pm, so didn't take many pics.

I absolutely love this car. It's bone stock and it turns heads already lol.








Definetly upgrading to HIDs in the lows and fogs, going to do a CAI and maybe mesh grille. May smoke the tail lights, as the lenses are sorta hazy, but otherwise, I'm happy with the car. Drives nice, comfortable, roomy and very clean.

i was dreaming/thinking of buying a mazda sport wagon a couple years ago (and still am, in the back of my head), i test drove a protege 5 first, i liked it, but harsh ride and pretty gutless. then took one of the 3's for a drive and it was totally different, comfortable ride, lots of power, 5 spd felt great. i still like the more 'plain' look of the protege 5 over the 'sharky' look of the 3... but yeah

nice car! sad you didnt get the sunroof though... heated seats? (you're in alberta? you could really use it in winter!)
