Put me on the list of the winning dads. Me and my daughters mother split up when Melanie turned 1 and we weren't married. 4 years and $12000 later I got custody of Melanie. Lots of bs and tons of research and leg work but its all worth it. Melanie is 9 now and we don't even hear from her mother. The family court is still on the womens side though, she's over $8000 behind in child support and they won't do anything about it. If I was behind that much, id be under the jail.

kinda diggin the ranger bed more and more the more i see them on our trucks... theres another member here with one with a wood floor i do believe. as for the divorce and kid i can't give you any advice, im 25 and haven't had to worry with that stuff just yet (not married, no kids) even though me and the gf argue over me buying stuff for my truck haha... but now that she has a "custom" car she kinda understands better. wish you well bro, its a tough economy out there right now, just keep ya head up and keep moving forward with life.

Personally I think you guys who are claiming your trucks over your wife, are just sad. I've got my truck, no I can't afford to everything I want to it being as how I've got a house to keep up, wife, animals, and more, much more important things than a piece of steel sitting in the driveway. Come on fellas, man up!

I've been married almost 15 years now. It takes commitment and working together. We've had a LOT of problems in our past, especially the first 4 years, due to not growing up. But you know what, I would NOT trade it for the world.

How long before you choose the truck over the kid? Or heck, we already see that don't we? One of ya's already claimed to be 3 years behind on child support, yet still has the truck and money for beer! Way to go bro!!! Real great choices.

My wife isn't perfect, and I'm not a perfect man, and we can't have kids of our own, yet we put each other before all material possessions for sure. For us both, it's God first, then us, then family. Frankly you need to get your priorities straight.

You name, and my wife and I have gone through it. But when you say your vows before God you promise to love and stay together till DEATH do you part, through good times and bad. Apparently you, nor her, meant it huh?

Sure, go ahead, flame me. Still, it had to be said.

You might want to go back and read before you post. What was said was that me and Jeff have custody of our kids due to horrible or neglectful mothers. The mothers are the broke dicks that are behind in child support that is owed to US! We were gonna get together and celebrate and drink beer to the fact that we have our kids and they are better with us and the fact that we as guys won in family court! I have never chose my truck over anything my family ever needed or wanted. Family comes first. But if you are in a horrible relationship that there's NO way of fixing it no matter what you try, then get out of it. And if working on your truck helps you cope with it and takes your mind off of it then that's great. Sometimes its better on a child to have 2 seperate homes that are filled with love than 1 home filled with anger and arguing. He may have worded it in a funny way to say he chose his truck over his wife but you gotta look deeper than that. Seperation is never easy and the mother always gets the child first till you go to court, and then its up to the parents and court system to find a suitable medium for the situation. And as far as god and all this goes into it here's my answer..................
