Looking at this
To buy...... also looking at new laptops... but... i can't seem to bring my self to buy either one right now btw this is for BLK fri
i own it (same one)seems to work fine when i did the swap. i went to HF and got the smaller one and brought it home and come to find out it was missing one of the wheels. i took it back and they gave me the bigger one for the same price cuz they didnt have the one i bought in stock (i also told them i had my motor sitting on the slab and i needed it right away) but you will learn what to buy from them and what not to buy (like 4"cutting disc's) dont buy them they shatter apart and i have the scars to prove it get yours from home depot
Well. i just need to get the motor in the truck.. im almost to the point if it don't happan soon im going to sell it. infact its on CL for 400$ includes the rebuilt motor and z71 wheels
dont sell it man i was almost to the point where i was gonna sell mine to
i did a complete motor swap and tranny
they truck was pulled apart for months and i was about to give up
but i had this thought in my head that i wasnt gonna give up on it
i took my truck to a Huge POS to where it is now
the motor swap isnt that hard really
here's the thing about buying an engine hoist... how much engine(s) work/swap/removal do you plan on doing??? i was stuck in the same dilemma for a week or 2 over weather to buy one or not... i only plan on doing one swap for a long while, so i opted to borrow one instead of buying a $180 dollar (in the way every time have to move a million times to get whats behind it) engine hoist.... and as a matter of a fact i believe that's the same one that i used and is still getting in my way in the garage lol
tools are an investment....they never go to waist..i bought on myslef..all i did was remove my engine and gonna put it back in all done...twice i will use it an might not never use it again but hey like i said its an investment...
I have one.... managed to pull a motor out of my civic, then it died before I could put the other motor in.
Had to buy a new pump/cylinder $40 some bux. Seems to work ok now
we've got one at our shop that i personally have used like 30 times on about 15 motors... not counting the other guys in the shop that have used it
bro, that engine hoist is on sale! in mini truckin january 2010 page 11 its on sale for $99
do it!!!
i rented one for a day and almost paid that money!!!
if you know anyone that has one just borrow it, if you can, try and use the money for truck parts
i bought a used one for cheap, only cuz i didnt have one, ive used it once and it was for the motor swap for my brother car,
and right now its just in the way, and the way its looking money wise, i wont be using it for a while
