LOL Hoc you kill me. I am sooo going to drink a beer with you sometime.

Tunes.... Lets see in the day it used to be Do Or Die - Po Pimpin
Too $hort - old stuff
Slow Jam Bass - Have not been able to find it since 95 but it was awesome.
Lots of different Techno and Trance - Believe it or not that will show a true system, not only is it killer bass but you have awesome mids, highs, lows, and channel separation.
Spawn the movie soundtrack has some good lows and is pretty rad all together.
Marilyn Manson - Remix and Repent -It is a red CD there are a few good hitting songs on there.
Now a days it ranges from Flyleaf, Atreyu, Otep, Mushroomhead, Element 80, Nirvana, Cage the Elephant, Nonpoint, etc...

I have to agree and this MAY get a little long.
Slow Jam Bass by Knights of Bass I have... somewhere. Both albums were good, although the first was their best IMO.

As far as techno, I don't want to get too far in it but I'll try to explain. A LOT of old school hip hop/dance was based around "electronic" music. Maggotron, Kraftwerk, Miami Bass Express, Micro Chip League, Newcleus, Planet Patrol, Cybotron, etc. all used loops, samples played over driving bass lines. This was actually a big influence behind Dj Billy E, Bass Mekanik, Techmaster PEB, Beat Dominator and such.

The cool thing is that "electronic" can and does hold enough sub-catagories so that almost anyone can find something they like. This includes House, Industrial, Hardcore, Trance, Drum and Bass, Ambient and others... even a few that blend these together. Jeff is right, the bass isn't always the hard, fast, tight kind. Some of it drops well below the 20hz range. Not to mention the upper end. Techno is the one style that can really test your system. I became hooked back in the early 90's when I heard some Future Sounds of London on a KILLER system... every speaker amplified and well balanced but still hit you in the chest and made your vision blur.

Back on topic, I think anything old school is a hit. After all, seems more artists are sampling stuff and using the synth-voice... ahh, anyone else remember the vocoder and talkbox? LOL anyway, I think anything that makes you want to sit in your truck, take the long way home, etc is good cruising music.

LOL One group that I used to love was L.A. Style...look them up. James Brown is Dead is an awsome track! I would love a digital copy of the Slow Jam Bass...if it is the same one I had it has a minitruck on the front with neons... That is the one I would love to have again.
