Damn bro. Glad to hear that you are alright besides the foot. It could have been soo much worse. Take his drunk ass to court. Finally make the laws work for you.

i hope he has insurance. looks like the bike is repairable as long as that bent up exaust didnt break anything off of the head from gettin shoved forward like that.

no, but it broke the rear subframe from the exhaust hanger. it's fixable as long as insurance doesn't total it

yeh they like to just total them out for some reason. mine was pretty much justcosmetic stuff and they totalled it out.

They look at cost of repair vs. replace. If the total cost to repair is 60% or something like that of the blue book value they total it.

right. i knew they did it like that. also i was informed of this when i totalled mine by the insurance adjuster. when the adjuster comes to look at it there are things ont he bike that you tell him you can live with or youll let slide if your trying to save the bike from being totalled and then fix it yourself. i know you did nothing wrong to have to have out of pocket costs but im saying if it has sentimental value or a rare bike or something like that.

a bike can be layed down and basically be called a loss to insurance. nobody wants to fix them, and thats why you can find so many cheap bikes that have minor damage!!
