this sucks

well my night just got freakin ruined. i was on my way home from my girlfriends house just cruisin at 45 MPH, which is the speed limit on the road i was on. When all of a sudden the car behind me decides to speed up and get right on my butt, so after a few minutes of this, i said ok enough of this, i'm just gonna change lanes. Well as soon as i changed lanes, the car flew past me, and then a cop threw on his lights, so i thought, alright he's gonna go get that guy. Well i was wrong, he pulled me over. Then preceded to give me a $106.00 ticket saying that he clocked me going 54 at the slowest, when i was looking at my speedometer when his lights got thrown on, and i sware it said 45. So i'm kinda pissed off right now. Sorry about that rant, just had to say it.

That does suck, big time.

stock tires on the truck? if they aren't the same size as factory it will effect your speedometer

I was almost late coming back to work from an appointment today and nearly got nailed for doing 70mph in a 30mph zone. Cop was sitting behind a tree. It was a dirt road out in the boonies,so I was surprised to see a cop sitting there. Luckily,the car I was coming up behind was slowing down to make a turn,so I slowed down, but the cop was getting traffic going in the opposite direction, so I got pretty lucky there.

i thought about taking it to court. but i'm not gonna worry about it this time. i dont have enough time between working two jobs, going to school full time, and volunteering in order to get my scholarship, and plus i hate the court systems in my town...they straight up suck. so i'm just gonna do traffic school online to get a discount on the ticket, and get the ticket off my record, and keep the points off my license.

its just gonna jack your insurance rates if you dont fight it.

Dang, that sucks man, that happened to me once, so i talked to a friend who is a cop and he said its not worth my time to try to fight it

That sux dude, sounds to me like the car that flew up behind you might have been a UC, & that might have been why the one that pulled you over let the other go when he sped by you while passing...just a thought....
If you do fight it & your tires are the right size, you could ask to see when their radar gun was last calibrated, if I'm not mistaken, it has to be done every 30-90 days, but that varies depending on the state....same goes with thier beer sniffers that they try to get you to blow in @ the scene....

The thing that really sux is, with the economy getting worse & local government's feeling the crunch of less monies coming in, they have to replace the lack of fundage somehow, or down size...So to keep the dough rolling in, they are stepping up thier speeding patrols...
