ok cody heres the deal. we're not gonna get into the fact that youre never gonna get the 1000w's that the amp is bosting. the main issue is whether the subs are 4ohm or 8ohm (the only way the subs come). look at the box the new sub came in and you should be able to see on it. if both the subs are 4ohm, run one speaker to each channel. that'll run it at 4ohm stereo. if the subs are 8ohm, hook both pos and negs of the speakers and bridge the amp. take how you had it before and just hook up the new sub in the same spot. most 2channel amps will run 4 or 2ohm stereo, and 4ohm mono. if you bridge the amp and run it below 4ohm, it will start to clip (cut off and cut back on). this will eventually kill the amps output.
what im tryin to say is get 2 pairs of speaker wires ang bridge them and then just connect the subs like u would regularly
Mostly what he said, but those subs also come in 2ohm, dual 2ohm, dual 4, and dual 8. once you know what you got, it's easy from there.
