anyone know? turbo question

i bought a nissan 240 today that has a RB20DET motor and was wondering what the factory boost is on this motor. i googled it and couldnt find any numbers and im just curious to know what kinda psi its boosting

rb20, or sr20? nev3er heard of the rb.. but the sr red top is 7 or 8 lbs, i think.

yea i have an sr20 and the stock psi is 7 and i belive for the rb its about 9 or soo

RB20DET was out of R32 skylines.

I would keep it 10 psi till you know how it's tuned. that's about average for a usdm turbo car but japan has much better pump gas so they are probably 14-16 psi

okay.. i know about the rb25 and rb26, but nothing about rb20's. i have a friend with an sr20, and he runs 18 psi, but it's a built motor and tuned for it as well. got pics of the 240?

yeah it's from a R32 skyline. guess i just need to take to a nissan place and see how it's tuned?

or an import performance shop.

im gonna try to run it by the shop that did the swap and see what they can tell me about it too. i dont know shit about imports much less turbo motors

see if it's stock jdm ecu or stand alone setup.

there is still the possibility they used a chipped 240 ecu

how would i tell just by looking ? or is that something i would have to take to shop to find out?
