I don’t want to beat a guy when he is down but….. I have a little experience in not being able to do anything to my truck just like many others on here have. I have had many many up and down with my roadster over the last 15 years it sat for over 3 year during the worst part of my life collecting dust. Hell I have 3 girls at home now and I am going back to school. I have a car payment a house payment I pay $1000 a month in child support for my son who I get two see twice a year. I wish I could just throw $5,000 at my Mazda’s to finish them up but then what would I do when life gets me down and I want to do something small to one of them? Life can suck some times!!!! Suck it up do what you have to do to keep your life afloat even if it means selling your truck or putting a cover over it for a while. I feel for ya but this is how life is sometimes it can really be difficult to have and work on a custom truck. Some day it will work it self out and you will be able to spend the money you want to turn your truck into the creation you have in your head. Sponsorship is not the answer hard work and dedication to your family is!
yup, just because we all have custom trucks doesn't mean we have tons of disposable income. You're sounding lieky ou want the truck finished yesterday before it's barely even started.
Sponsors won't do anything good for you in your situation like the other guys said.
When you have a family to look after and bills to pay,the truck should be the last thin on your mind unless it is your daily transportation.
If you don't have the time or money for it,then keep it under wraps til things pick up,or sell it and get some extra cash.
You can't build a truck overnight. Took me 2 years to build mine and over $15 000 and when I sold it and parted it out,I only recovered around $7000. Had I sold the truck whole,I would have lost even more money. Took me over 6 months to sell everything, but I recovered more of my costs by parting out.
Family and bills come first, because if you can't afford that, then you can't afford to play with your truck. That's just how it is sometimes, and we all want to roll a cool truck, but sometimes we have to wait.
I don't know when I can buy another truck, because I am moving half way across the country, have bills and debts to pay and I don't know when or if I'll be able to have that disposable income to buy and build another truck any time soon.
