One thing about my life. i have a kid and a wife. my daughter is 4 years old. and my wife is in college. i have not been able to work on my truck and i am loosing interest. the only way i will be able to get this thing going is by asking for help. i have a 1991 b2200 that has a 302 carb swap and a c4 tranny. i have put a 4lug 8inch mustang rear end under it. i need help. bills are to much and it kills me to see my project sit. i would like if anyone knows of any sponsorships i can apply for. please help. PLEASE!
carsponsorships.com is about the easiest way
don't do it!! i did that amd once you are in, you cant get out. and its a minimum of 1 year membership. if you are just starting out, in primer and stuff like that, it does you no good. plus you have to be using the companies that they have. for me it was a complete waste.
Does anybody else know of any sponsorships. Or any one who can help. I e shops neer tacoma.
Man I really hate to come off like this. But your kidding right? Good things come in time if it takes 3 years or 10 years to get your truck were its at thats all that matters. I think asking for a sponsorship because you pay "bills" is a sad excuse. If your funds are that tight your truck should be the last thing on your mind.
Sorry to sound like a dick but this rubbed me the wrong way, I'm not about to make a thread about my $2000 transmission bill I just got. That could have been some nice billet wheels for me. But hey bro shit happens and you just gotta roll with the punches. With that being said goodluck.
^ i hate to sound harsh, but i agree
Well stated Slammed. The hard facts are, ya gotta take care of business before you "play" so to speak.
yeah.. i agree. almost everyone here has bills they have to pay before their truck gets parts. i know mine's been sitting for at least 6 months, and hasn't been touched other than getting a new battery. you just got to take it week by week. you can't expect someone to pay for your truck to be built.
I agree with the posts above.
As far as the sponsorship goes, I'm sure everyone in here would love to have the same thing. Truth is, to get real sponsor you have to put out alot of your own money first, have origional ideas and good shops backing you. I was about $40 000 into my full size before I started to attract sponsor. After that I got my interior done for about $1500 by a sponsorship, my stereo done for 100% free, and then many parts like compressors, tires, paint, etc for free.
And remember with a sponsor nothing is really free. I had to do 3 shows (of their choosing) to get my interior done for that price, 2 shows and flyers for the stereo, and be in various other booths for the different products.
Call me a sell out but there is only so far you should go. I would never add vinal (sticker or any other logo) to any part of my vehicle. And once the contract was done make sure that it is in writing that you keep the items that you were sponsored for. MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS IN WRITING!
