I thought all of America was already on ADSL2. Or is that just what you make the rest of the world believe. Because Australia dedicated over 1 billion dollars to the give all of Australia high speed connection. As of July 1st 2007, if you weren't already in an adsl area, they would give you a full government grant to get a satellite connection off your house. I just find it funny how many people still don't have high speed in the states. Australia is trying to be 100% fibre optical by 2020 aswell. To compete with Japan.

the states are behind in times.... slowly buy surely they are updating the areas with fresh fiber optics next year they are forcing hdtv on everyone so if you don't have a hd tv then you have to buy a coversion box.... as far as internet its a strange thing... high speed isn't available everywhere.... but dial up is everywhere lol

I dont know what I would do without highspeed internet, granted some of you don't have a choice because of distance and such.

i remember having dail-up. it sucked, i;ve only had highspeed for a few months
