Recovery Mode
I was having a problem with my player and after a little back and forth they showed me a back door to recover the system With the power off, switch hold to on (and leave it on) and press and hold the record button on the left side. Now turn on your Sansa while still holding the record button. The unit will power up in recovery mode. Now connect to your PC. A folder 16mbFORMAT will appear under 'My Computer'. Call SanDisk technical support for the most up to date firmware files. 1-866-SanDisk
