when dumb pranks go bad

well it was just back and forth between me and 2 other guys at work. cuttin a cavity on the reel and makin it uneven, tape over electric eye/sensors, gluein gloves together. all kinds of stupid shit.

well the one guy was gonna hit the reset button on his machine to start a new set. i put a lil dab of super glue on it. he took his time changin sets and the glue went down inside the button and it jammed. D'OH!

i did the responsible thing and went and helped him. took it apart, cleaned out the button and restarted his set after i sent him to break.

supervisor came and got me at 8 and sed "clock yourself out. we'll talk bout this tomorrow."

i HATE gittin singled out on shit. oh well. my foots been botherin me and i was about to leave anyways hahaha. ill find out in bout 4 hours if i still have a job.

damn that sucks bad. hope you dont lose your job man.

man that sucks. I had a similar thing happen with one of my jobs a few years ago. I was working at a factory and I was working with a buddy I used to go to high school with. We were kinda screwin around and while the machine was doing it's process I waved my hand through the light curtain and it stopped and it blew a water hose and flooded the entire section. Hahaha. Needless to say,I haven't worked there ever since,lol.

Well good luck man I hate to see any fellow bscener lose their job. However coming from many aspects of the manufacturing process (from grunt to supervisor) I do understand the results of screwing around. I have seen ppl almost seriously injured and thousands of dollars worth of tools, equipment, and project wasted. We had towers that we would work on in Rotomold (rotational molding google it) and we would take large 5/8" nuts or bigger and put them on the metal part of a screw driver, add about 200psi and that biotch spins and hums. Tilt the driver to let the nut fall off to the ground....humm dinger of a kool sound and bouncing effect. Broke many lights and almost sent me and the rest of the plant to the hospital when it hit and dinged a gas line...oops.

I worked until just recently at a large corperate financial institution...well one day, I am emailing a lady co-worker who worked with me and we get to picking at each other...finally I reply to one of her emails...just joking say "If you dont have anything better to do than email me all day there is kitchen in this building you could be cleaning right now!" She would have understood and laughed...but the sender of the corperate communication that I accidentally replied to ( instead of my co-worker ) didnt quite understand. And I didnt realize this until I was called into my boss's, boss's boss's office....yep...straight to the top. I explained it was all an accident and was told that it was almost a "career fo-pauh" ( spelling ) ....anyway....didnt lose my job but it was CLOSE!

I'M FIRED!!!YAY kinda. got a weeks pay comin, almost 2 weeks vacation pay, and yearly incentive too. wont be too bad off for awhile but i'm goin job huntin tomorrow. got A BUNCH of good leads too.

not too worried cuz i was wantin outta there. i was the adult afterward and admitted my wrong and fixed it but if your not on ur knees you dont go nowheres.
