i saw bullet play at the filmore in SF with all that remains (incredible) and when i left the pit after ATR it seems all of the guys did too, leaving it over 75% girls for bullet. that started a bit of laughter as i left. too image for me.

it would be sweet if there were free samples of some of this stuff... i have never heard of like 80% of the listed bands! i like the music of speed metal, but the screaming, throat clearing sounds - can't stand it.
i like a good hank III song or two. i like sublime, tool, offspring, tom petty, eric clapton, blue oyster cult, zztop, metallica, pantera, a little bit of older white trash southern country, skynerd, foreigner, styx, johnny cash, korn, old slipknot, nirvana, red hot chili peppers, white zombie, staind, Tiger army.
i know - i'm mainstream...

hell yea sublime rocks, pantera too. the only thing (i know some hardcore fan is gonna bash me) but the only thing i wish was different about pantera, is some of the music. just some of it i love the drums in metal and the double bass and dont get me wrong the guitars add a lot as well but i just cant stand the guitar solos that sound like some 80s hairband bullshit. speedster i know you said you didnt like screaming and all, but check out As I Lay Dying. its a lot of deep screaming, but thats one of my all time favs. when i first hear them the music itself got me so pumped up i didnt care that i didnt understand some of the words, then after listening to it enough and checkin out the lyrics i can sing a long now, haha. i dunno some of yalls tastes but man check out a lil band out of florida. I Set My Friends On Fire is their name. there different for sure but i think they rock. im not much of a rap fan but most have heard that soulja boy song like it or hate it like me you will love their version. the best way to check out their music is on myspace. also speedster if you want samples that may be your best bet if you dont have any music downloading software like itunes or something. keep them coming guys i havent seen anyone post up anything i aint heard of yet.

oh yea speedster glad to see another hank III fan. man ive got some bootlegs that people recorded from concerts that are awesome. hes a lot different live than on cd. ive got one of his hellbilly cds too its like country lyrics but with metal/country musical intruments its bad ass. his first cd was a bit more pop country and he admits that but he was tryin something new so... but the other 2 are amazing. especially straight to hell cd he had a lot of label issues and they finally gave him some freedom to do what he wants on a cd. hell speedster your out in cali? you should know all kinds of bands and some good underground shit.

does anyone here listen to Ill Niño? they have some pretty badass music if you can get past a few spanish phrases thrown in once in a while.
in my ipod: eclectic approach, sublime, soad, pink floyd, ramstein, alice in chains, lamb of god, jack johnson, nirvana, incubus, old metallica(i hate their new stuff), slightly stoopid, static x, tool, rage against the machine, the white stripes, modest mouse, 311, bloodhound gang, avenged sevenfold, all that remains, nofx, adema, stp, bush, pearl jam, cky, tech 9, deftones, him. i pretty much like to listen to all different types of music, just depending on what mood im in. i llisten to some rap too, but mainly older stuff, most everything coming out now is crap.

YESSSSSSSSS!!!! Ill Nino is pretty badass. yea i dont speak spanish so i dont know what he says in those parts but its still pretty sweet stuff. incubus was a good softer band, but i like the older stuff a lot better off the science album. HELL YEA, static-x, rage against the machine, bloodhound gang, wow even some cky in there. but when you said moddest mouse did you mean their hit song float on or other stuff by them. im not bashing you, i just know this chick that loves them and most other people have never heard them or if they have they just heard that one song. and its nothing like their other music.

i havent even heard that "float" song, but ive got 2 of their other cd's. i know i say this in almost every music thread when i post but you guys should check out eclectic approach. i know a few of the guys in the band and they are starting to get pretty big. it is nowhere near metal cuz its an eclectic mix between different genres and they are amazing to see live.
