Plus like I said before, we don't know what happened that led to the officer being on the hood in the first place, it could have been over a minute or even 30 seconds before the third cruiser came into play. More than enough time to run someone down. I highly doubt the cop just strolled up to the car, hopped on the hood, took aim, then proceeded to fire his weapon.

You guys should watch the second link I put up it's an interview with the INNOCENT passenger in the car that could have been killed for no reason!

Shitty circumstances all around, Police never could have known about the passenger. Just goes to show what an asshole the driver was and that he had no regard for anyones safety, even his own neighbor. Thankfully the guy got away safe, and none of the cops or anyone else got killed.

What I meant was that busses dont drive around that late at night full of people, they might not even drive around at all that late at night in most places, i dont know though. The cops were obviously making up a story to cover there asses due to their bad intentions. The cops knew what crusiers were where at all times thanks to radioing back and forth and to dispatch. At the very beggining he says (paraphrased) "he just tryed to ram me, im in pursuit" which is a lie. They guy was trying to get around the cop to run away, the monte carlo doesnt have a 0 degree turning radius. This statement makes the situation more serious then it actually was because now they are after an attempted murderer via vehicle. Im not sure if the cop that said this shot the guy, but if he did I presume he hates black people and thinks, well i aint takin no dang chances so im just gonna kill this niggar, might as well have 1 less of them on earth, let alone in our jails. I dont remeber right now, but I think this occured in a small southern town inhabited mostly by whites, maybe Im wrong though. Another piece of evidence that attributes to this racism theory is that the passenger was unharmed, and for what? Whos to say he didnt have a gun. Another reason the cop on the hood is a dumb ass: he didnt know if either man was armed and openly put himself in danger. I dont understand why he did this because white people shoot cops too and like I said, the passenger was unscathed.
There is no justifiable arrguement for what the cop did. I wish I was the passenger or dudes family members or someone prosecuting the officers' attorney. I would make bank from the state.
I still dont understand why anyone would get on someones hood like that without prior intentions of killing the people in the car.

haha i love this its kinda funny... as far as ramming is concerned the guy hit the cop with the rear of his car and it is considered ramming... who cares if the guy was black or white... the passenger was probably scared sh*tless i know i woulda been.... as for getting on the hood it gave him a definate hit because the guy was trying to continue to run and they just wanted it over.. who cares it saves tax dollars and a space in jail for a real criminal... although i do agree with you on one point about not taking out the passenger too that would have been the smartest move...

Ok now this is from my experience as having a dad who has been a cop for over 12 years now. The driver had already showed very little value for life by attempting to run (issue 1) Then he furthered the issue by intentionally hitting the police officers with his vehicle (also known as a deadly weapon and a hazard to the officers life; issue 2) Then finally I believe that the officer was attempting to approach the vehicle when it was STOPPED. As it started moving forward the officer had a split second decision....stay and get hit possibly die, jump out of the way and possibly endanger other officers, or third jump on the hood and end the chase. Therefore in the courts (criminal not civil cause civil courts are totaly fucked more than criminal) the officer was 100% justified and acted within his jurisdiction. I would like to believe that they knew about the passenger and that is why if you look I believe they focus most of their impacts with the car on the driver side.

Now for a final note... Driver/ Passenger could have had a gun. As soon as they approached the old attitude of I am going out in style and taking other with me could have set in. Thus killing at least one officer if not more and deffinetly causing the death of his passenger. I can tell you from first hand experience it sucks to loose a friend because he was doing his job and was in the wrong spot at the right time.
