I want to get a CR250R this summer, just wondering if anyone on here rides, what their opinion would be on the 250R. Im fairly beginner, I used to have an old yammy 250. I would say i've been riding a year or so.

Im looking to get one new, unless I can find one that I somehow now hasn't been beat on too too much.

What do you ride? Picss? Have you ridden the 05+ CR250R's? How would you compare it to what you've got now? Would you choose something else?

go with a 450f there so easy to ride 4stroke is where its at not 2stroke.450f has a lot more power and easy to jump you would love it.

Boo for 4 strokes. I have a 250r but its the quad. If I rode a bike it would for sure be the cr250r. Honda's plus 2 strokes equals the best combination ever.

yeah go 4 stroke cause if you are like me it will be the same place my rm250 is right now and that would be getting the engine rebuilt i fucked up and raced a 450r that was built on a straight away and held it wide open for about a 1/2 mile and never let out of it needless to say i had to get the guy i was racing to tow me back to my truck. but i have rode an older 250r and to me it didnt compare to my rm

I don't think I want a 450, and I think I would rather stick to 2 strokes due to their simplicity. From what I've heard, the 250 is actually better out of the hole than the 450. And truth be told I dont really think I have the power or skill just yet to be throwing a big 450 around in the corners, if I need more out of a 2fiddy I'll just put a different sprocket on. It'd be nice to have a 450 but im just a much bigger fan of smaller bikes. Im only about 5'9 180

The 2 strokes will beat the 4 strokes all day long. It just takes a better rider. And think about this it costs like 100-150 to rebuild the 2 stroke top end. Its at least 500 for a 4 stroke, sometimes closer to 1000 when the head needs work.

if 2 strokes are so great why is nobody riding them?
if you were to go to a big race (national) you would get laughed at.
even chad reed gave up on the P.O.S. 2 strokes.

Because there getting paid to ride the 4 strokes. Of course I know nothing about the bike world, but with quads half of the pros say they would rather be on the old 2 strokes but they have been banned from competition at the pro level. Thats all I have to say about that. Sorry to get this so off topic Pepehn.

No no dont be, this is the exact stuff i want to hear. Just looking for opinions man. Me personally, when it comes to the powersports world I'll always be a 2 stroke guy. The main reason being how simple it all is. Theres not much there stopping you from revving the piss out of it all day long.

keep the opinions coming, love hearing either side of the arguments.
