Ooooohhhh what a sigh of relief!!! FINALLY,today they fired 4 guys on my shift,1 of which was one of the most inept retards I have ever had the displeasure of having to share time with. This guy,in 3 months caused so many errors,so many BIG problems, cost the company money in wasted material and downtime and still, just didn't 'get it.' Not only did the guy smell like a burnt onion covered in mace,he was really slow, lazy and STUPID...all this from a guy I was told when he was hired "has a mechanical engineering degree and is really good with blueprints."
Oh really? Yeah...he definetly wasn't. Now a huge burden has been lifted off my shoulders at work. I don't have to constantly babysit. This guy was just so stupid and I didn't even like the guy,he annoyed the hell out of me just looking at him,I always wanted to smack him in the back of the head.
Things went A LOT smoother today after he was told to leave, and I could finally breathe again without inhaling mace covered onion rings basted in used baby diapers. I've never smelled anyone so ripe in my life. My god. He'd walk past you and you'd smell him for 10 minutes after he walked by and his breathe...ugh...even stink would say that stinks!
So I'm a lot happier now, they finally started cleaning house and got rid of some of our inept and slow guys that just don't cut it around there. We'll see how much things change over the rest of the week. So far,so good.

Nice to hear things are picking up up there. Definately a lot easier when you don't have to constantly cover for the underacheivers. Keep smiling, things will get better and before ya know it the grass will be turning green again.
Oh, and if it makes anyone up there feel any better the Midwest just got blasted with ice & snow. Winter sucks

my energy level hit s the wall in winter time too, and it is a challenge with little day light not to get down, especially when yer as far north as me, spring will, come, maybe that is a metaphor for more the weather,

I had a job i wasn't 100% happy with to and i even had the smelly guy. I switched jobs and started my apprenticeship and have never been happier. Glad to hear its starting to turn around for you at work. If you want somewhere where there's not alot of winter move to south west bc. It rains but thats better than snow

Well..things went pretty damn smooth tonight! I was able to do my job like normal, and also do all the other stuff I do without being hounded by stupid questions and a stink that makes my nose hairs curl, and I even had time to go do other stuff and knew that I could trust the guys alone.
However,we still need to work on the air quality in there. The welders need to get enclosed welding cells and we also need exhaust fans to suck out all the fumes and dust. With our floor fans and bay doors open,it's still not enough andmost nights you can chew on the air inside.
