One of the best ways to pass an e test without modification is to put a bottle of heet in the gas tank. Burns so frriiigggin clean, it will make you squeeak!

dude,if you had a pacesetter header on it,that's probably why you failed, because with that, you don't have your EGR,which is not only a visual fail, but will also raise your emission levels. You can spend up to a maximum of $400 in repairs before they will give you a conditonal pass.

For rust, anything where CO can get into the cab, they will fail it,as well as it being structurally weakened. Like the guys said, just do a fiberglass patch,or even just get a piece of sheetmetal, rivet it in and fiberglass over it and you'll be guaranteed a pass.

I've spent $15 000 on my truck man,so I know how you feel. I bought it,it ran great and then my rings went and I had to rebuild the motor and everything and that was $2300. Since I already spent that much that's when I decided to start modifying the truck and from there, the maintenance has cost almost as much as the modifications. It's a downhill spiral.

Do you still have your Volvo to drive in the meantime? I'd say screw the truck and just keep the Volvo if this is your case.

Hey guys. Well all the rust is fixed, I did it all properly and it is all done interior back together as of tonight. Yes I had the pacesetters on and he didnt fail me thru a visual just the emissions. It is all coming off and stock shit is going back on.

The Volvo is shot there isnt much left it is gaining problems by the hour it is starting to get unreliable.

To this date I have had my license for a year and have put between the truck and car $12,000 all of my own money, not including insurance or gas. Which averages out to about $1,000 per money plus insurance and gas... And like I said not much to show for it I still got a truck that looks like shit and atleast it will run good.

After doing my final calculations for this years business I have actually took a large loss and now working for $8 an hour am going to have to pay off my debt as well as pay for insurance on the truck and anything else that th e truck does need. My new job sucks. I get no hours and just get screwed over money wise. I am once again on the job hunt....

So right now I have no vehicle, no money and lots of debt... I love being 17 and having to deal with this stuff. I am severely regreting ever getting a car or truck period. If I had of saved my money until now I could have had atleast $15,000 by now to buy a car... Oh well sucks to be me; sucks I got a lemon; sucks that my job sucks and sucks that my business sucks more.

My business is official shut down as of today. I have jobs lined up for next year but I have decided to refuse all of them.

I'll work it out eventually it is just so unfair everything I have tried to do I have gotten screwed on.

Thanks for all the advice so far guys, truck will be switching back to stock everything and new plugs and new gas and what not then back to the shop.

By the way do you think it will pass etest with new gas and heet in it? It does have the pacesetter headers and 2.5" exhaust I don't wanna have to take it off if you think it has a good chance of passing if I just do that?
