Has MazdaBScene lost it's community feel?

we as society have become addicted to internet and knowing what the hell joe shmoe is doing over in la la land .. No one wants to know what your really doing that second . We DON'T want to know your droping a big deuce in the can ! Just like when cellphones got popular What happen to Pagers? Does anyone really remember them? not really . EVER sense they got slimmer and able to keep you in touch Face Crapper , myspaceSucks , ability to search forums with out use of a computer I'M Willing to bet not alot of people are home much any more with the exception of the few ( million ) who are addicted to Xbox Live .


i don't have a fancy Cellphone that does X-Y-Z mine only does texting and calling and i'm good with only having that option. I don't have a x box either. Frankly video game systems are like computers they're outdated within days of you buying it anymore -And the cost of the games are crazy . Money's tight for everyone but they will spend what ever to remain in contact with everyone and to have the ability to let everyone know they're on the crapper while on facebook.

I DON'T post alot cause i really don't have alot to say considering i have no mechanical / autobody knowledge . So that drops me out a few catagories on this forum . I enjoy the friendships , and chat i have with the few i chat with regular ( Hunter , Smelly fish (aka TunaMelt) toddy and i'm sure i'm forgetting alot of others. I have in the past asked for help wrenching on my mazda a couple times and yet anyone who was within a 100 mile radius never offered to lend a hand . The two guys that helped me out were ford guys... kinda sad when the local mbs community members don't even speak up to offer help.



heres another thing that does not happen anymore--- say "jimmy" brakes down hes by himself . you don't know him at all - reguardless if he's driving a custom ride or not . Do you stop and offer a ride to him offer him your phone ? No - alot of that has gone no one stops to help people on the side of the road.. Unless your rolling like 10 deep to a show - or they're your club members they stop . but if your rolling a stock ride chances of someone offering to give you a lift are gone. i know majority of that reason is cause of safety tho.

I actually ask this, well something very close, on one of my Mustang sites.

I asked if anyone else noticed the drop in post's in some of the forums.

The general consensus was the bad economy. People are letting the projects sit, thus nothing really to post about.

If you are asking how the site might be improved, well, I think there are too many sub forums.

For performance I would just have one forum.

For chassis mods, and custom body work, one forum

For general Mazda B talk one forum.

For general BS one forum

Buy/Sell one forum

I have seen this with other forums as well, there are sooo many sub categories, that everyone is spread out, or they don't really know which forum to post in.

As far as I can tell, this is a good site. Not too much flaming, not to many locked threads, no mods who think their God.

I like the fact that a few adult words are left in as most of us are adults. This does not offend me. Cursing for the sake of cursing I don't like, but I don't see that here.

All in all a good site. Just a bad economy.

i seen the same thing on Ftw (fordtruckworld) delaware chapter , stw (sporttruckworld) pa chapter posts are non existant . some times i've seen where people talk to big for thier britches .. AND start nothing but drama .


i aggree the problem is Economy . unless your rich , or got a job that has money coming in alot to cover bills and have money left for play . i force see alot of projects on back burner .

mine is considered back burner . i haven't touched mine in 4 yrs now . no funds.
