Rad Supports

Is the rad support from a 92 b2600i 2wd different drom a 88 b2200 2wd different???

actually Im sorry I miss read that, the 4wd is, not sure on the 2wd

ok well heres what happened. I have a 92 b2600i 2wd and my truck was pretty rusty once i started to get into it. so the body shop down the road has a complete 88 and the were going to just cut the rad support and passenger side inner fender off so i towed mine down there. now they just told me they had to cut the rad support off the 88 cause mine was different. whats different about it can i just put the one from my 92 back on the 88 ??

i think the only difference is the mounting points for the rad. the 2600 has a bigger rad then the 2200.

So is it a bad thing to use a bigger rad then???

If I'm not mistaken it one has a bigger opening for the radiator and the mounting holes are different for the radiator. Other than that everything is the same. Your fenders, grille, hood latch and everything that mounts to it should go right back on.

so i can weld the rad support they cut off the 92 b2600i 2wd back onto the 88 b2200 and just use the bigger rad from the b26 with the 2.2L engine??? right? so basically is it a problem to use the bigger rad from a b26 with the 2.2l? I hope that makes sense lol
