Have you ever seen pics of Mike Alexander's old Toyota project? He had the front and back set up with bags and coilovers, with air cylinders that locked out the bags at the height you wanted so the truck would be riding on the coils. It is a pretty wild setup.
I mean im sure there are different ways of of doing it. Then I was thinking that when you make your mounts for your shocks, make em beefy enough to mount your eye to eye coil overs I mean granted that the mounts are set to the right length to keep the truck off the ground and strong enough as this is the weight and force of the truck are connected through the coil over
