a quick, probably stupid question, but does anyone kno if a later ranger chassis will fit under a 1990 longbed b2200? reason i ask is, i have a couple of b2200's here, but one has a woeful back half job done on it and the other is rusty, and ive been quoted

For US models it would fit a 94 and up Mazda. Welcome to the site, you are from Europe right?

Welcome to the site. No a ranger frame will not work. The rangers and b series trucks didnt become the same until 1994.

For the Ranger frames pre 94 Ranger Frames will fit 94-97 Mazdas. I want to say the year range is 89-97 Ranger Frames to 94-97 Mazdas even though the bodies are very different.

thanks for the replys guys! thought as much but i thought id ask as theres a fair few more rangers about here. yes, northern ireland actualy. i bought this convertable shortbed out of california and had it shipped across, but it has some crazy 2 link in it with cylinders, loads of lift and still cant get over anything, it was never going to see the road with our laws over here...

i painted it yellow when i got it, but thats as far as i got, bad picture...

and ive now broke it up for the 4x4 metalwork, wheels and air, to put into this, which has a roof (particularly useful over here).

plan is to use the shortbed front chassis and make a good clean longbead one out of it, drop the tatty blue body over it, and maybe turn it into a widebody longbed at a later stage.

That's awesome, can't wait to see it after you get started on it. I love seeing projects from all over the world!
