Slam specialties RE7 spec question

Im getting the RE7 for the rear of the truck , and when looking at the specs on them it says that the min, height is 2.9 inches..... is that from the top of the top bracket to the the bottom of the bottom bracket?? just want to make sure before i weld my bag brackets in and I'm wrong...

it should be the overall height fully squished from bracket to bracket cus thats what i have on my bed

i going to have re7s for the front ,re8s for the rear but basicly just weld in your bracket , then put the bag there and make a mark were you think the other bracket should go , remember tack it first for a test fit then if its good finish the weld

Yes your picture is right. The bag is 2.9 inches fully compressed.
