i'm pretty sure the mazda is 3.90 to 1

I discovered 3.90 in a google search but is that for all years?

any info yota gear ratio for different years?

well let me say i had no probs out of the gears, it is about 2"or 3" narrower then the mazda so you may need to put spacers on it to keep your rims from hiting the frame, try finding a newer 4runner some have disk breaks

and phatmike.. im not to sure never looked in to it may you should look into it or try that may be somthing no ones tryed yet

im running rx7 hubs and re-drilled rear.was just curious as over here most ford / mazda parts interchange

ya over here ford and mazda had two different models in the years 86- 93, befor and after they where the same, not to sure what all part will swap around i do know some will tho

I tried the ranger hubs and couldn't come up with a set of bearings to allow it to work, and the rotor offset was way more inboard than the mazda rotors (like the rotor hit the top of the knuckle). I've heard of a mazda that has areostar rotors up front, but they show the same part# as the ranger. Even tried every areostar I could find in the junk yards looking for some mysterious front brake, and rotor setup that was the red headed step child of the group but had no luck.

damn that sucks.... i just put the toyota spindle on a mazda arm and called it good had no prods out of it
