need tension rod nut size asap!!!!

I'm running down to the tool store to get the socket to take the tension rods off and I need to know what size socket I need. thanks

If you mean Torsion bar its a 17 on the adjustable bolt the 2 on the front may be 17 as well but dont quote me on that, i know the adjustable one is 17

nope.. I'm pretty sure the part is called a tension rod or bar..... its the one that goes from the front corners of the frame to the under side of the LCA. i went out on a guess and got a 1 1/8 inch deep socket and it was to big.... I'm pretty sure its a metric but I thought that one would work... anyway still looking for a size.... Im thinking its in the 26mm range.

its torsion bar and its a 17mm

i beleave its a 21 on the front and a 17mm on the arm... dont realy remember been a long time, i dont have them any more

ok...ITS NOT A 17mm... ITS NOT A TORSION BAR... I'm looking in my haynes repair Manual, page 10-3 bottom of page and they clearly call it a tension rod with an exploded view picture. and I know its not a 17mm because I tried to put one on it and it was way to small.

ok can you post a picture of what your talking about? if its the rod that comes from mid cab to the lower control arms to hold the front suspension up off the ground they are called torsion bars.

and i have to ask you why are you taking them off?

yes i know what your talking about but dont remember the size man sorry..... but ya why are you taking them off, or did you have a boo boo and need to replace one, they hold the arms from floping around
