89 B2200 Motor Info

What years are in common in the B2200 series motor wise? 88-92 ?? In a local yard they have B's from years 86,87,90,91 and 92. Are all these motors bolt ins for my 89? One better than the others?

Essentially, those years are all the same.
The only differences would be Carbureted vs. Fuel Injected... and their related components.

Any sugguestions then? Can I buy the injected motor and put my carb stuff on it? If I can buy all the related parts, is it a fairly easy conversion to make mine an injected B2200?

yeah it's doable. You need the ECU, wiring harness, all the fuel injected related crap on the motor, and you also need the FI fuel pump as it puts out more pressure than the carbed fuel pump.

I guess then easiest thing is to get a 626 motor and then use my head?
