I would hold out for the 220 as well. I lived in a townhome for a while and had an extension cord made up to go from the 220v dryer plug in the laundry room out to the garage. You can't dry your clothes while you weld, but I figured that was a good trade off.

ya the Harbor Fraight welder is a 220 but its a good throw away to learn on
