bet you thought i was gonna ask some dumb question and get told to search. ha on you. anywho, i would like to know what the observed fuel milage is on a fe3 swapped maz?

i am trying to talk myself into this swap. i have an 87 b2000 that the crank snout broke off. on one hand i could just a. put in another crank b. get a weber carb and c. get a pacesetter. or on the other hand just do the cool swap and have the power, mpgs and reliability that i want.

just checked and the kia sportage got 17 city and 21 highway

well if your talking abut the kia swap the stock gas mielage is only around 19city lol

freaking kia nut.

went looking for a fe3 today. no luck. found a jy with a kia and the harnes was there and stuff but.... the head was missing and the block was crap from sitting out in the weather. The guy at the yard said that the kia motors are crap and all the kia's they see have bad motors. is this true? are the kia motors unreliable?

The fe3 is different than a kia motor. Its a mazda design produced by kia, and there pretty reliable from what Ive heard.

yeah the motor found in 95 to 2001 sportages correct.
