Finally dumped off my 88 for the 83 I was trading for. Glad I got rid of that truck.

The 83 is pretty sweet. Has some small issues to tackle, but it runs and drives great.

I'll have some pics tomorrow maybe. Going to be a nice little daily runaround.

Totally stoked to finally have an 84 as a daily and one as a project!

The project truck is going to have to sit on the sidelines for a little while as my financial situation gets cleared up, so don't expect to see much progress on it.

actually it's not. it's pretty deceiving. The rockers, cab corners and fender bottoms are all rotted out. They've been fiberglassed and bondo'd. The driver's side body mount support is completely rotted and barely even hanging on. There's a small hole in the floor between the door sill and seat track.

But whatever, it's all repairable and it's low miles and runs and drives great. Once I get the exhaust and throwout bearing changed it'll be mint.

I fixed the exhaust lastnight. You would think the exhaust off the exact same truck would fit....

2 hours later of fiddling around I made it fit. at_dusk is selling me a complete tranny/clutch and everything to throw into this one, then I can take this tranny and put a new countershaft bearing and clutch in it later on and throw it into the project truck since it needs a clutch.

The silver one is just going to be a daily beater and I'm going to steal good parts off it for the red one and put all the shitty stuff on it.
