Underbody neon lights?

This use to be BIG. Is it still the thing to do? Or is it to cheese? If you got a great deal on a new set would you put them on or not. Lets say you could get a new set for 20 bucks.

I had it in the early 90s. IMO that's where it should stay.

Yep 90's only, now one guy here actually put lights in his bed and I really like that idea, and I'm actually doing that on mine after I get the camper shell on it, but in my opinion neon lights under a vehicle are a fast and furious import thing not for minis. In the cab and in the bed OK, under the truck??? NO NO NO, but this is just my opinion, everyone has their things to make their trucks what they want them to be and its good to ask for suggestions. I wont flame you for them and I have seen some trucks with them and they don't look bad, just like I said not my cup of tea. But if you get them remember pics are your friends!!!

I say rock them hard baby!!! I would do it if they mathced the paint or went with the paint. BUT please and I beg you PLEASE do not install them in such a manner that you can see wires, or the lights themselves. The only thing you should see is a nice glow. I may be kicking it old skool and rocking the neons. Always haveloved them ....if installed right.

There is nothing wrong with them like I said, especially if you are building an old school mini, then more power to it, but if you are building a more modern mini, then I say no!!! but once again, your truck your choice and I wont condemn you for your decisions, just make sure and post pics, hell you may even give me ideas for one of my other 2 trucks, lol... PICS ARE FRIENDS!!!

i rocked them on my dime a few years back....they glowed nice once u were aired out...even threw my 20's they show some nice light coming throu..and hey if u ever needed to work under ur ride u had light..hahahahaha...but i blew mine out after i went scrapping...the end

I bought 1 set of leds with the multi color lights reg price 195. I got them for 20 I also got a set of neons for 10 I can get more of the leds for the same price but i dont know if i can get rid of them. I also got a set of strobe lights for 10 bucks all of this is being discounted the store is no longer going to carry them. Thats the only reason i was considering putting them on the truck. No NO NO way would i spend 200 for them.

I always liked neon as well, just not where you can see the equipment. Make it a good install please.

I have them on my orange truck. They rock. I like then for cruise nights or night time cruizing. The install is key though, as others have stated make sure you only can see a nice glow. Exposed wires and tubes suck. BTW I am planning to do a full kit on my roadster as well, including under the seats, dash and engine. The glow off chrome is sweet.
