12A?

I was thinking about a 12a or 13b, but i dunno much about them and such, so i havnt decided.

But as i was looking for more info on the swap, before finding this site.. i found this, has anyone used these before?

jus so i dnt confuse any body iv jus mentioned best mounting ways for rota engs to b2000s
your best to change to the older rota timing cover mounting position
shown it pic below (but doesnt have oli reurn for turbo eng which can b fabricated in easily)


but the 13b turbo may even bolt into your factory eng mounts as the newer eng has side eng mounts,
then jus modify ur gearbox xmember
OR

the older gen1 rx7s & all rotas before that, have an engine xmember which runs L rail to R rail (chassis)
towards the front of chassis with a mounting point on lower front timing cover.
which takes another eng plate xmember with eng mounts that bolts down onto the rail to rail xmember
what id do is bolt ur motor & box together bolt ur gearbox to factory gearbox xmember
then get a 12a turbo timing cover as it has front timing cover mounts & oil return for the turbo
or u can make an oil return in other front mounted timing covers rx4/5 or early rx7s & get a rx4 chassis xmember as b2000 rails are flat so is an rx4, i wouldnt use older rx3s xmember as they sit on a 45% angle & twist ur rubber eng mounts IM USING SOLID ENG MOUNTS IN THIS CONVERSION

(off topic but was asked) as your now goin to run a 13BT
a 32/36 weber wouldnt ever go on any rota as they run 4 barrel carby similiar to holleys from factory
rotas have a totally different exhaust set up as a 10a/12a/13b is a twin rota eng so it only has to twin exhaust ports, which means twin pipe headers.... (below see exhaust ports under IDA WEBER manifold)

Nice to see more interest in the rotary swap.Yes you can use the 2200 tranny just swap the rx7's bellhousing and this will allow you to run the factory tranny mount and driveshaft.Just remember to trim off a 1/2" off of the input shaft as the 2200's input shaft is too long.If you plan on a street header for the 13B they do fit the 2200 chassis.Mine is a racing beat street header and clears just fine.Also don't forget to get a inline fuel pump and some universal rad hoses.I think thats it.I can add more later if need be.I have been driving mine for 5 years with my 13b

to b honest about my other builds i get lost on them myself lol

i got a mazda 323/GLC 20bpp in the build 15x12 with 31"x13"slicks & 15x3.5 on the front


another 323/GLC weekend driver with a 13bbp (bridgeport) with injection perfection
throttlebody with self made manifolds & rail rails with self built cold air box

plus another 808/rx3 wagon in puttn on a b2200 chassis FBSS dokota digital air managerment
20/22 wheel combo with a 20b turbo plus been 2doored with suicide doors on factory hinges
all self built as i do all my work myself except trim seat haha
iv been buildn rotors for 20years now

but itl have whitewalls and a 6 pointcage and lower due to bodydrop & cut the sills off but not doored
