Is there such a thing as a gauge that would tell you what gear an auto transmission is in? As in, you put it in drive and as the car is going through the gears it updates the gauge to indicate the current gear. It would be cool to have as part of a tach. I know its not the most useful thing to have, but I've always driven manuals and I'd at least like to know what gear I'm in if even if I'm not controlling the gear selection.
yes this is true and im getting one its dakota digital guagees
cool. and it will tell you what gear you are in even if you are in regular drive and not manually shifting?
you have to purchase an extra part its a gear selector thing heres the links :
guage-
and gear selector -product_id=60/category_id=233/home_id=233/mode=prod/prd60.htm they r expensive but its worth it
No, there is not a gauge to show you real time gear changes. there is only what has already been shown, an indicator that shows you what you are in as far as PRNDL, not what gear the trans is going thru at any given moment.
well if its automatic like he said and hes changing threw "gears" of course it wont its AUTOMATIC
OP wants a gauge that shows real time gear position. he wants it to show him that as he leaves a light, the trans is in first, then shifts to second, then into drive, not just which detent the trans lever is in.
