tire shine?

thanks andrew and josh. how much do these products cost? do they tend to sling off the tire and on to the truck? how long does the application last?

I tried the foam today....stuff is great...used to use it on my civic...no fling...and not super shiny (I hate that...just a clean back tire for me is fine)

doesn't tire shine wreck tires??? ive been told lots that most products dry the tires out and speed up weather checking / cracking.

i worked at body shops/ paint shops ,we always stayed away from anything that had silicone in it

Which foam did you use?

I've never had any luck with foam. . I hate em all. .

The Wet Jet doesnt sling, Jus let it sit for a while, if you drive it immediately then ya, it will. . But let it set a while and you're good. . Its like 7 bucks I think too. .

And no, tire shine doesnt ruin tires. . Thats a myth

Ok...so they used to supply my detail shop...them and mothers so I am lil biased.....and I had customers that would come in and want SUPER SHINY...even though I was totally against it.....customer pays...they made the rules then in some cases and certain parts.

Only other stuff I used in my shop was blue coral....but I was using only their waxes and polishes on the paint....product X was THEEEEEE shit I tell you......awesome awesome stuff....then they changed it...and it sucked...then they changed it again...and it was ok...then they got smart and went back to the original formula....and there fore THEEEEEEE SHIT again.

Galaxy for degreaser....I got in 5 gallon buckets and man that was some THICK stuff....so I could cut it down a BUNCH and save some $$ but still get the desired results.

And a lil known secret...degreaser misted over you carpet....and then a hose set to wide spray and a scrubby brush....works WAAAAAY better than 99.8% of carpet shampoos out there....have a good shop vac nearby and KNOW WHERE you computer is! (yea I had a idiot employee who washed out a Accord...left it with water in it...completely RUINED the computer...costly lil sucker)

I should do a detailing write up and offer up some tips for some REALLY screw up some paint if you aint carefull
