Failed Emissions Questions, Update 4/17 Passed

So my truck failed emissions because of high NOx levels. whats can i do to pass with better numbers?

i do not have a dwell meter... stockbridge is just south east of atlanta, ga, yes failed both tests.

also not sure where my timing is set.... have a light and my folks shop but thats across town so i wouldn't know untill i get it from there... should be tomorrow befor i know that info

if that dont work add a little urea to the gas haha! it works at work with our boiler!!

so i took the egr off and it was almost completely clogged.. the top part of it was so clogged that you couldn't see any metal.... also the bottom part was a little clogged... don't have the funds to buy a new egr right now so i just cleaned it out as best i could... if time allows tomorrow im going to try to take the truck by my local mechanic and see if he can run the training mode on the truck to see if its going to pass or not before i take it to the emissions shop.

sweet... so i did my best at cleaning the ports... and when i put the diaphram up the truck stalls.... so i hope this has taken care of the problem. i will find out tomorrow after-noon when i go to get it retested
