zing the rear frame and running leafs??yay or nay?

ok Mikey. when you hacked off the rear of your B. what did u do to make sure it stayed square and lined up properly? do i have to worry about the placement of the rearend on the leafs changing once Zd? how should i go about aligning the rear once i figure out how much of a z i want? should i put the rear on a board and raise it up on the wheels till i find my spot??
ive used the search feature and cant find anything more then mikeys thread and my stuff. dont make me search outside the bscene
come on guys. i need a hand here. prep for the front cant be much diff from the rear. HELP PLEASE!!!

ok no use of the word hacking...lol i put the cab on jack stands, welded the rear to the frame, put a jack under the rear end and jacked up, took my initial measurements from the 4 corners of the rear section, added 4 inches to it,then welded "legs" to the frame to keep it stationary, then plated it.
