so i grabbed this 93 mazda a couple weeks ago, previous owner just did the valve seals, and an oil change. i picked the truck up and no smoke. i park it for a few days and start it and it fills the neighbourhood. i drained the newly added synthetic oil and add some regular and some thick engine oil treatment . still smokes like a bitch. no water in oil, not loosing oil, or water.
whats the problem?smoke is thick and white looking.

sounds like a leaky head gasket or possible cracked head

wouldn't i see oil in the water or water in the oil if that was the case. everything looks o.k.
there is a lot or preasure int he cooling system though. when undoing the cap after just a minute of running it has a lot of preasure. is this normal for a mazda?

white smokin would be from unburned coolant or fuel. how much pressure are you getting in the coolant system? if you have access put a pressure tester gauge on it and see. i would agree it sounds like a head gasket or cracked head, maybe even a flaw in the block somewhere.

i just had my head redone..checked everything was ok
doesnt use a drop of water but if you let it sit overnight its smokes white in the mornin for a minute or so then clears up for the rest of the day..i think its a fuel issue with mine
