Chrome plating plastic

I know its called vacuum metalizing. Has anybody ever had it done? If so where? How much? An does it hold up to being outside?

Nope.... I can't stand S-10s they are like a**holes they are ever where.... Nothing againist anybody on here with a S-10 cause the Mazda gods will forgive you for slipping up....HAHAHA LOL I crack myself up. No but anyway do you have any contant info for him?

It's the 4x4 grille. Wanted to see how much it would run to make it chrome?

humm i am gona have to look into this process. they way we can do it at work is basicly we spray the plastic with a copper like paint being that copper conducts and plate like anything else we do here. i sent a e mail to are "custom" guy here if he dont know no one does(he does all my polishing on my parts and is a god at it comes out looking better than any other chrome i have seen but hes been doing it for 40 years) we do so many different things to metal here its insane

isn't there a new paint process where they paint the object with two different paints and they react to create a chrome appearance paint. its how they do those show cars that are entirely covered in chrome, including all the body panels. (it was on pimp my ride once)

i have heard of it but i dont think i would look good next to some of my chrome dont think it would have the shine and depth like real chrome
